Summary Captain Carey, U.S.A. (1949)

A group of agents in the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (forerunner of the C.I.A.) are sent to Italy during World War II to spy on the Germans. Most of them are killed because of an inside betrayal. After the war, one of the agents returns to find the traitor.

Webb Carey returns to Orta, near Milan, to find out who betrayed his World War II O.S.S. team and caused the death of several villagers. His old love Julie, whom he thought dead at the hands of the Nazis, is alive and married to the Barone.

During World War II, American OSS officer Captain Carey is betrayed to the Nazis by while working with the partisans in a northern Italian village. His Italian girl friend is executed by the Germans. After the war he returns to track down the traitor .
